In Colour Sampler Bookmark

Pinwheel pens

I borrowed this idea from my lovely downline and friend Rachel Capps - a pinwheel pen!  This was the second of the 3 free gifts I gave to my launch guests earlier this month.

I used the new Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack.  A great new product with 48 sheets of paper all only just larger than a card front (not A4, Like a first thought when I read the catalogue!) so a perfect size for small projects or using on cards.  There are 12 designs so you get 4 sheets of each design in the stack.  I really like all of the designs, and think they will be especially useful for quick and simple Christmas cards.

Here is a side view of the pinwheel pen, just attached to the pen using a glue dot - so they don't actually spin!

Chocolate Treat Holder

This was one of the small gifts I made for my guests at my recent Catalogue Launch Party. 

Made using the Labels Collection Framelits and my Stampin' Up Scoring tool it was pretty simple.  Some ribbon matching the treat inside finished it off nicely.  Here is a side view:

Petal Cone Die Floral District Treat Pouch

This was the third and final make and take my guests made at my recent new catalogue launch party.

A treat pouch using the new Floral Distric Designer Series paper.  Using the paper as a starting point for the project makes colour selection easy.  You just need to look in the catalogue to find the colours used in the papers and select the ones you like to use for your project.  Stampin' Up! have done all the hard work of colour coordination for you!

In this case the colours I used are: Baha breeze and rich razzleberry.

Accessories: Petal Cone Bigz L Die, Bitty banner framelits, so saffron ribbon (retired)

The petal cone die is so versatile.  Here are lots of ideas I pinned on Pinterest.

Core'dinations Cardstock Christmas Card

This is the second make and take my guests got to make at my recent catalogue launch party. 

It uses the new Early espresso Core'dinations cardstock.  A great new product that comes in 12"x12" packs and has a different coloured core inside the cardstock.  So when you put it through a Big Shot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (like Petals a plenty, that I used in this card) and then sand it with the new sanding block from Stampin Up! you get the different core colour poking through - cool!

The new sanding block is neat too - with removal and replaceable sheets of sandpaper, so it will never wear out - AND gives you two strengths of grit.

There is also the new core'dinations dust buddy, a slightly smelly sheet of material that removes the dust from your project after sanding.  It comes in a huge sheet and you just cut off a small piece to use at a time.

Stamps:  Daydream medallions, perfect punches

Ink: New Illuminations glimmer Ink pad

Punches: Dotted scallop ribbon border pundh, 2 3/8" scallop circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch

Card: Cherry cobbler, gumball green, early espresso, naturals ivory.

My Catalogue Launch Party

was last night!

Here is one of the make and takes my lovely guests made.  It is almost a direct case of a card in the current Annual Catalogue on page 6.  I loved it as soon as I saw it, so when my new products arrived in time for my launch, it was an easy decision to use it for one of the make and takes.

It uses the great new stamp set Papillon Potpourri with 6 butterflies (and the antennae for them too!) AND the matching Elegant Butterfly Punch.  I love it when there is a punch that coordinates with a stamp set - makes it so simple to create a great card.

The colours I used are starting from the bottom: Midnight muse, lucky limeade, daffodil delight, pumpkin pie and raspberry ripple.  Two new In Colours (midnight muse and raspberry ripple).  I only own the new In colours in the new foam ink pads, so it was great for my guests to use the different ink pads on the same card to experience the difference.

The new ink pads are so inky, so they really ink the stamps so much easier.  No more rubbing and patting and smooching  - just one press in the ink pad and you are done!

My Convention Swap

Stampin' Up! Convention was held in Canberra, Australia at the beginning of this month.  I attended (my sixth convention!) along with some of my lovely team members (Hi ladies!).  I had a wonderful time, as usual.

This is the swap card I made. I made 32 and swapped them all for really lovely examples of Stampin' Up! art.  If you want to see my swaps you will have to attend one of my classes or book one of your own with me.

Mixed Bunch and Blossom Punch!

This is one of the make and takes you could have made if you attended my Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue Launch Party earlier this month. Lots of layers, new products and even bling!

It uses the lovely new stamp set, Mixed Bunch teamed, of course, with the coordinating 'Blossom' punch.

I have also used the lovely silver glitter paper on this card to really 'bling' it up!  Luckily this is a CARRY OVER PRODUCT, so it is still available, as well as the red glitter paper from Stampin' Up!

Simply Scored Flower Rosette

Want a simple but effective card you can make in no time at all, for almost any occasion?  Here it is!

A rosette flower card.  I used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool from Stampin' Up! to create this easy flower.  Just take a strip of patterned paper 12inches long (scrapbooking papers are perfect) and score it at 1cm intervals all the way along. Concertina fold the strip, join the ends together and push into the shape of a flower.  Easy! 

The width of your strip will determine the size of your flower.  My strip was about 4cm wide.

Apothecary Art Image no. 2

This is the 2nd largest image in the Apothecary Art stamp set.  It is so easy to frame using the matching Labels Collection Framelits Dies from Stampin' Up!  I love it when they have products that coordinate perfectly.

You may also notice the new pleated satin ribbon.  I have made it into a little rosette on the card!

The edge of the card is also embellished with the new Edgelits dies and embossing folder to match (more coordination from Stampin' Up!).

Apothecary Art Card

What a lovely new stamp set from Stampin' Up! Apothecary Art!  This is the largest image in the set of 6.  4 images that fit inside the Labels collection framelit dies and 2 greetings, 'happy birthday' (shown above) and 'so grateful', perfect for all your thank you cards.

I simply stamped this image in staz on ink and coloured it using my blender pen and markers.  I scribbled the markers onto plastic first so I could pick up the colour with my blender pen, to get more of a watercolour type effect.

The greeting is stamped in Cherry cobbler ink, cut out and framed using the dotted scallop ribbon border punch (what a mouthful that punch name is!) I just used the very edge of the punched piece to show the dainty scallops.

I have finished the card with some scored lines, made using my new Simply Scored Tool from Stampin' Up!  I just love it!

You know when you get lots of new toys and want to play with them all at once!  That is how I felt when I made this card.  I am not really happy with the outcome - but it does show you some of the products available in the new Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up!

Viewmaster Card

Did you have a viewmaster as a kid?  If you did, you will understand what happens with this card.  There is a hidden dial that you can turn (you can see the place to turn the dial on the right hand edge of the card front), as you rotate the dial different pictures appear.  Here are a couple of the other pictures I stamped on my dial:

In total there are 6 or 7 pictures for the recipient of the card to be amused by! 

This was one of the cards the attendees at my card making classes got to make last month.  It was a cards with a twist class!  They also got to make a more boyish version, stamping soccer balls and cricket bats on the dial!

More Easter Baskets!

Here are some little Easter baskets, perfect for an egg sized chocolate egg, or lots of little eggs!  My good friend Marelle Taylor gave me the basic idea for these little baskets, over a year ago now - but the credit is still hers - Thanks Marelle!

These are made from the Stampin' Up! scalloped edge square die and the Big Shot, with a handle and some embellishments they are easy to whip up!  Perhaps for all the children in your kid's class?!!

I have another idea for school children gifts tomorrow - pop back if you want to see it!
