Pool Fun Layout

This is a scrapbook layout I created during a sketch challenge on a cybercrop last night! Creating under pressure I love it! I am really happy with is - especially as it is the first layout I have completed in many months. I have really missed scrapbooking and now have the urge to do a whole lot more! I already have the opposing page to make this into a double layout ready to be cut and assembled. Watch this space!

I used the following supplies:
Card: Sahara Sand 12x12, Tempting turquoise 12x12, Night of navy card, whisper white
Stamps: Itty bitty backgrounds, big deal alphabet
Ink: white craft stampin pad, night of navy classic stampin pad
Accessories: flower - wrapt designs; ribbon - white grosgrain and others; white gel pen

Mini Catalogue Ends on Jan 31

Just a reminder that the mini catalogue (little red one) is about to finish. The last date we can place orders from this catalogue is January 31 so it you really "need" anything from the mini then email me now!

This is a pocket card I made using the lovely double sided designer paper (Spring showers) which is featured in the mini catalogue. I thought I could use it as a nice recipe card holder to give to a friend - hence the chocolate fudge teaser out the top!

I've used bashful blue, barely banana and chocoloate chip ink on very vanilla card with my 'Looks like spring' stamp set. Added a bit of my antique brass hodgepodge (loving having that to use!) and some linen thread to tie it all together!

This was a sketch challenge

This was a sketch challenge I took part in on a recent cyberstamp. I was creating under pressure so decided to create a male birthday card and used a colour scheme from the colour coach so I didn't have to think too much!

The main colour is really rust, then brocade blue, bashful blue and mellow moss, with the image stamped on whisper white. I used my earth elements markers(really rust, so saffron and old olive) to "ink" up my 'fun filled' stamps which made it easier to use different colours on the same stamp. The brocade blue card is stamped with the canvas background with versamark ink and then coloured with the not quite navy stampin pastel. The mellow moss card is stamped with the diamond pattern from the 'Looks like spring' stamp set. I used an antique brass paper clip from my hodgepodge to finish off the card. Thanks for looking!

Petal Prints Pastel Background Card

I took part in a Cyberstamp on Thursday night! It was on the fantastic forum for all of the downlines of Angela Sargeant (of which I am one of 75!). We had 3 challenges to complete who were all thought up by my fantastic upline, Jayne Mercer. Thanks Jayne for a fantastic cyberstamp!

This was challenge #2 - to create a card using the colour scheme bravo burgundy, more mustard and ruby red. This card is one I had seen on Alisa Tilsner's blog (she cased it from Kyla on SCS) and really liked it. I have wanted to make it for ages to decided to use it for the colour challenge.

It uses versamark and pastels to create the background images with the petal prints stamp set. The corners are punched with the slit punch (another great use of it - which makes it even more versatile!) Finished off with the main image stamped using my earth elements markers, more mustard coloured brads and burgundy grosgrain ribbon.

Baby Girl Card

Here is a baby girl card I made yesterday (my most prolific day in ages! - so I will have lots to post here in the next few days!). It was inspired by one of my customers who had a baby girl Imogen in January. Hi Natalie if you are out there - this will be on its way to you soon (better late than never!)

My challenge to myself was to use some hodgepodge(because I now have some to use!), paper piercing and my canvas background stamp. I think I achieved all 3!

I used kraft, certainly celery, confetti cream and pale plum cardstock. Versamark ink and pastels to add colour to the versamark (pale plum on the giraffe and celery on the canvas background stamp). Celery ribbon. And my antique brass hodgepodeg (buckle and brad).

Star Favour Gift Box

As promised here is another little box that Stampin' Up! designed, called the star favour box. This one however is only available to demonstrators, along with a whole host of other resources on the demonstrator website. They really do make it easy for us demonstrators! I used old olive ink to stamp the speckle from "Itty bitty backgrounds" and ruby red to stamp the flower from the "little pieces" set - all on confetti white card. Then finished off with a tag and some moss gingham ribbon. I think its simple but effective. Hope you like it! Thanks for looking.

Mini Gable Gift Box

This is a 'mini gable gift box' that I decorated to give to my hostess as a thank you for hosting a Stampin' Up! workshop for me. They are really easy to assemble and make a lovely little gift or party favour box. They can be purchased from Stampin' Up! all precut and scored. All you have to do is decorate, fold and stick them together! How easy is that! I used a brand new stamp set called 'Seeing spots' that Stampin' Up! gave to all its demonstrators as a Christmas gift (what a great company to work for!). It will be available to purchase in the new catalogue out April/May this year (I can't wait! - the rumours are the catalogue is going to be much bigger with lots more lovely stamp sets and products to choose from - bring on April!). Ruby red and Night of navy are the ink and cardstock colours I chose for this project, plus some white organdy ribbon and a couple of punched flowers to finish off. Hope you like it. Thank you card using Stampin' Write Markers

This is a card I made using my Stampin' Write Markers (from Stampin' Up! of course!) to 'ink' up my stamps instead of using my ink pads. I used the Brocade blue and Always artichoke markers to ink up the flower from the 'Heartfelt Thanks' stamp set. It is so much easier to use markers when you are going to use 2 colours on a stamp, and a great image too! I stamped them onto very vanilla cardstock and mounted this on always artichoke and bashful blue card. I used the horizontal slot punch to punch out the holes for the bluebird ribbon to be threaded through, then tied a little label I made on with silver cord to finish off the card. The brocade blue background is stamped with versamark ink, to give a watermark effect, using the speckle from 'Itty bitty backgrounds'. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking!

Magnetic bookmark

This is a magnetic bookmark. Thank you to Marelle Taylor for the template for this. There is a back half which folds over your page and then flat magnets stuck inside the base of the card keep it in place. The ribbon will poke out the top of your book to show your place!

This one is using the 'petal prints' two step stamping set. Using bashful blue as the base image and night of navy as the overlay image, on whisper white card, also edged in night of navy ink. I used paper piercing (with the fantastic template in the Stampin' Up! toolkit) to emphasize the corners and finished it all off with some white organdy ribbon. The ribbon is threaded through holes punched with the horizontal slot punch from Stampin' Up! A great little tool!

My sell-a-bration launch was a

My sell-a-bration launch was a great success. All the ladies enjoyed themselves (I think!) and liked all the make and takes and free giveaways.

This is one of the make and takes (a new colour scheme for a card by Jayne Mercer, my upline in Stampin' Up! - thanks Jayne!) I added the slit at the bottom with the Stampin' Up! slit punch (love this one!) so the top of the card folds under the slit. I used the 'Looks like spring' stamp set with pretty in pink and old olive ink and card. The corresponding punch makes 3 beautiful flowers to embellish your cards. This set is in the mini catalogue which finishes at the end of January so if you would like to order anything from the mini you need to get in fast. I am happy to place orders for you just email me. I have been busy preparing

I have been busy preparing for my sell-a-bration launch tonight. Here is a photo of some of the make and takes and give aways. Happy New Year

Well, Christmas is over, the New Year is here and January is already 4 days old, where does the time go?

We had a lovely Christmas here in McGraths Hill with my Mum and Dad from New Zealand and my sister and her husband from Melbourne too. Lots of good food and wine and company!

The New Year was seen in in style with a "Fashion in the Field" party at the neighbours. Lots of fun and games to keep us all occupied until midnight and after as well!

I hope everyone reading this has a fantastic 2007.
