Stampin with Joanna

90th Birthday card

This is a card I made for a friend to give to her 90 year old Aunty. Here are the details:

Cardstock: whisper white, rose red, pretty in pink, naturals ivory.

Stamp sets: Heartfelt thanks, sincere salutations, classic aphabet numbers, french script background

Inks: pretty in pink, mellow moss, rose red, old olive, white craft

Accessories: Mat pack, rose red marker, 3/4 inch circle punch, 1 inch circle punch, 2 way glue pen, dazzling diamonds glitter, white detail embossing powder, heat tool, horizontal slot punch, pink grosgrain ribbon, stampin' dimensionals.

Check out my new watermark too. I did it myself so it is not exactly perfect - but acceptable I think!

More kids birthday cards!

Here are a couple more kids (boys) birthday cards. I seem to make a lot of these! I guess that's what you get with a 5 year old son in his first year of school, he gets invited to every birthday party!

The elephant is from the new set 'Wild about you'. Thanks to Jayne for letting me stamp some images from it. Other details are:

Card: Sahara sand, pumpkin pie, ballet blue, confetti white

Inks: pumpkin pie, ballet blue

Stamps: Wild about you, whimsical alphabet (lower case), everyday flexible phrases, canvas background, spot on jumbo wheel

Accessories: Tag punch, hand held 3mm hole punch, string, jumbo wheel handle, googly eyes (not Stampin' Up!)

Colour Challenge, Mellow moss, Ruby Red, Apricot Appeal

Here is a card I made for an Elite Challenge . It is a colour challenge using mellow moss, ruby red and apricot appeal. I must admit I have never used apricot appeal before so it was nice to move out of my comfort zone.

I got the idea for this card from a card by Simone Collins. Her blog is here.

I thought the idea of using the square punch to punch out a rectangle was brilliant and had to try it straight away! Yes, I even left my computer to do this - almost unheard of these days!!

New Colour Scheme

I've changed the colours on my blog. The pink was getting to me! I'm much more of a blue person anyway! Hope you like it.

Blog Candy Giveaway

These were the free giveaways at my recent Idea Book and Catalogue Launch Party. These are actually the left overs as I neglected to take a photo before hand! I think everyone had a great time at the party and enjoyed making the make and takes using some of the new stamps and jumbo wheels from the new catalogue. Sympathy Card

A sympathy card for someone needing some sympathy. Inspired by Alisa Tilsner's recent cards but no where near as good! I was happy with it though.

Birthday card for Jai

Another boy birthday card! Using 'Very Punny' and "seeing spots' again! This time added a bit of hodgepodge and ribbon too. Oh and used my new circle punches. I'm loving my new punches! Can't wait for the new tag punch to arrive! Hope you like it.
