Elephant birthday card

Another simple birthday card - stamp set courtesy of Merryl yet again! Thanks Merryl! I stamped lots with her stamps a while ago and am now just making them into cards. It is great that you can share stamps this way - those of you with friends with stamps should get together and have a stamp sharing night. Stamp sets: Wild about you, warmest regards (hostess set)
Cardstock: Buckaroo blue, true thyme, cranberry crisp, whisper white.
Inks: buckaroo blue classic ink, always artichoke marker, rose red marker
Accessories: caramel gingham ribbon, slit punch, hand held 3mm hole punch, corner rounder punch.

A nice easy card today.

A nice easy card today. Thanks Merryl for the use of your stamp set (Tag time). I love how you can punch out the balloons with the Stampin' Up! half inch circle punch and pop them on a stampin' dimensional to really lift the whole card. It is amazing actually how many of the stamps and punches in the Stampin' Up! Idea book and catalogue are compatible - very clever and versatile of them!

Year of Cards Book

Here is a project that I have wanted to do for ages but never quite got around to (sound familiar!) I finally decided to "just do it"! I did get inspiration from a new stamp set and matching wheel (All though the year stamp set and the garden annuals wheel - I just love them, as I knew I would!)

So here is my "year of cards book". It is a book with a pocket and calendar sheet for each month. The idea is that you write all the people you want to send birthday cards to for the year on the calendar sheets then make cards for them and file them away in the pocket for that month - so you are prepared when their birthday sneaks up on you - as it always does for me! It would also make a great gift!

It was actually really easy to make and could be completed in 2 hours (apart from the binding of course!)

Mothers Day Card

This is the mother's day card I made for my mother-in-law today. She is a lovely lady and her favourite colour is blue so I hope she likes this.

Stamps sets: Wild rose set (I really love the rose buds in the this set, they are so pretty), Whimsical alphabet lower case, everyday flexible phrases and expressive flexible phrases.

Cardstock: Bashful blue, certainly celery, whisper white.

Inks: Bashful blue, ballet blue, certainly celery.

Accessories: celery grosgrain ribbon, mat pack, white gel pen, 1.8 inch hand held hole punch, stampin' dimensionals, colour spritzer tool with brocade blue marker.

Me and Shelli!

Wow! I have just had the best weekend. I went to the first Annual Australian Stampin' Up! Convention in Darling Harbour, Sydney. I learnt so much and met some great people, many of whom I had known only online and now can put faces to those names. Most of all it was just a great uplifting experience to be with other like minded people who also love what they do and share what they love. This is me with Shelli Gardner, the CEO of Stampin' Up! It was such an honour to meet her. I am so glad that I had my photo taken with her. She is an inspirational lady who runs this wonderful company straight from her heart and is a fantastic role model, so gracious, down to earth and giving. I also got heaps of new ideas so hopefully I will be very productive in the coming weeks and months and have lots to share with you. Remember there is a promotion on this month offering the Stampin' Up! starter kit for only $299 - so if you want to join me in this fantastic company let me know. You could be at the next convention in Brisbane on 11-12 April 2008 and have just as much fun as I did.

New Catalogue Swap Cards

These are the swap cards from a "New Catalogue Swap" I participated in with The INKlings group. Aren't they great?

We had to use new stamp sets from the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue.

My card is similar to my swap card for the first ever Australian Stampin' Up! convention which is on this weekend. I am so excited!

Smart Start Promotion in May

The Stampin' Up! promotion for May is called Smart Start.

It is for all of you who have ever thought about becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, and those of you who haven't!

If you sign up as an Australian demonstrator during the month of May the starter kit will only cost you $299 (instead of the normal $324). You will recieve $590 worth of products for only $299! Now that's a bargain!

Discount demonstrators who like the idea of buying stamps and other products for personal use at a discount and occasionally sell to friends and family.

Short-term demonstrators who sell for a short period of time to earn a specified amount of money and stop when the goal is reached.

Hobby demonstrators who only work when it is convenient for them. They work a lot some months, doing workshops and earning some extra money, and do very little other months. They like to do workshops that are easy to book and don't like to work too hard to book workshops. They fund their hobby with their earnings from Stampin' Up!

Career demonstrators who view Stampin' Up! as a viable business with long-term career potential. They pursue management and want to move up the career ladder. They love attending Stampin' Up! events and developing close social relationships with other demonstrators. They work at their business in a consistent and outgoing manner.
