Here are all the swaps from the demonstrators on the recent Australian Incentive trip. They are all fantastic!  I was so lucky to be able to swap with some of the top demonstrators in Australia.  Thanks to everyone who swapped with me!

The next event for me will be Sydney Regional Training being held on Saturday 6 September in Darling Harbour.  Stampin' Up! are providing this day of training for all demonstrators. Each demonstrator can also take along a guest.  The day cost $95 and included in this price is a stamp set and lunch!

The Alternate Make and Takes!

These are the make and takes of the demonstrators on the recent Australian Incentive Trip that were guests of achieving demonstrators.  We had our own Make and Take session on Friday morning when all the achieving demonstrators were participating in the session run by Stampin' Up! on the trip.

Myself (Joanna Wassens), Julia Quinn, Jane Reynolds and Ros Oakes all congregated in my room for our 'alternate' stamping session.  We had lots of fun and each brought along a make and take for the other 3.  Julia, actually brought along 2 because she is so generous!  Thanks Julia!

I love all of them but espcially love the 6x6 page that Julia designed for us, because it has means I have another layout completed!  They seem to be few and far between these days.  Here is a close up - the photo is only 3 years old - but a nice one to have displayed.

It was so nice to meet all of these ladies and spend some time creating and having fun.  What would a Stampin' Up! gathering be without stamping!

My Incentive Trip Highlights

I was lucky enough to be a guest on the Australian Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip to Palm Cove this year.  It was held last week and this is where we stayed - at the Angsana Resort and Spa.  It was magnificent!

Here is the view we had from our apartment (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, dining area, lounge area and balcony!!)  Luxury plus!

Stampin' Up! really know how to pamper their top achievers and each achieving demonstrator was given a gift each night on the trip.  These were usually delivered to our room and left for us to discover at our leisure. 

Gifts that Jayne was given this year included a lovely soft cotton hoody, super soft monogramed bath robe, animal print beach bag, stamp sets, ink pads, cooler bag, plus a chance to win products or chocolates on the prize wheel.

Here is my luggage tag, name badge and the chocolates I won on the prize wheel on the last day - they even let guests spin for chocolates on the last day!!

Jayne, being the amazingly generous and thoughtful friend that she is, decided to give me gifts as well.  I discovered them on my bed each night too!  It was a wonderful surprise.  Here is what she gave me:

A personalised notebook, stamp set, matching chocolates and decorated candle and the cutter kit (something I have been coveting for ages!).  Thank you so much Jayne.

Here is a closeup of the notebook - which has been covered and decorated by Jayne - it is just lovely and something I will cherish.  Isn't it the handmade gifts you recieve that you cherish the most.

My Swap from the Incentive Trip

I have just returned from the fabulous Australian Stampin' Up! Incentive trip to Palm Cove!  Wow!  It was just a wonderful few days of pampering and relaxation.  I was the guest of Jayne Mercer, my good friend. 

Here is the swap card I made to swap with all the other demonstrators on the trip.  I made over 30 of these!  It took a while but I was pleased with the result.

It is a suspension card, the centre of the flower actually spins around on little strings (that is actually dental floss!) 

I have lots more photos from the trip to share so hopefully will get to that in the next few days.

Just to prove I was there though, here is a shot of Jayne and I on the skyrail!

Season of Joy Magnetic Bookmark!

This is the third and final make and take that the guests at my Spring Mini Catalogue Launch Party got to make (for free!).  A magnetic bookmark!  Read on to find out how it works!

I used the new Season of Joy stamp set to make this bookmark.  It is a Christmas set but can be used in a non-Christmassy way, as I have shown!

To make this book mark you need a long strip of card folded in half.  You attach 2 flat magnets to the inside base of the card.  These magnets will hold the bookmark in place when folded over your page.  The ribbon will stick out the top of your book to mark your place!  Here is a photo of the magnets so you can see what I mean:

You use the Stampin' Up! horizontal slot punch to punch the small slots for the ribbon to go through.  I have also used my Stampin' Write bashful blue marker to colour the edge of my white ribbon to give it a lift before threading it through the slots and tying in the front.

I have also added some detail with my paper piercing template from the Stampin' Up! mat pack to the corners of the white card and on some of the swirls too.

Christmassy Triangle Box!

I just love the triangle box! It is so simple, yet looks so effective.  These two photos are of the same box.  One is taken outside during the day and the other inside at night - hence the colour differences!

This is the second make and take from my Spring Mini Catalogue Launch Party last week.  If you would like information on my future launches don't forget to sign up for my newsletter at the top left of my blog.

I used the lovely new jumbo wheel - called 'It's Beautiful' - and it is!  Everyone at my launch used the Stampin' Up! whisper white ink pad to wheel the design onto the wild wasabi card.  We all used the fabulously priced (one of the cheapest on the market) Stampin' Up! heat tool to dry the white ink.  The white ink is pigment ink so doesn't dry instantly like the other Stampin' Up! classic dye inks, so to avoid smudging the beautiful design we zapped it with the heat tool - a small price to pay for such an effective outcome!

It was then a simple process to stamp the flower from the coordinating stamp set 'A beautiful thing', punch it out and mount it onto the larger punched out circle and the punched out scallop circle.  We punched some small holes in our boxes with the fabulous crop-a-dile (punches through many layers with ease!) and tied our ribbon to finish.

A great little treat box for your Christmas tree, or as a gift box for someone special.

Enjoy Every Moment Card

Here is a the first of the make and takes (things you come along, make, then take home!) at my Spring Mini Catalogue Launch Party last week. 

I tried to use masculine colours so it could be used as a father's day card if required.  Even though I couldn't resist using ribbon I still think it is acceptable as a male card!  You also had the option of leaving off the tab which says 'life" so your card would just say "enjoy" and is more versatile that way! 

The tab is just one use of the Round Tab Punch.  A punch that is under utilised in my humble opinion.  You may look at it in the Idea Book and Catalogue and wonder what you could use it for. 

It can be used as a tab, simply by folding it in half and attaching it behind your card. So is very useful if you create your own stationery, decorate or make your own notebooks.  You can also use the punch to create brackets, handbags, baskets, or even a bat fighter!! If you would like to see how I create a bat fighter then post a comment!

Contents of Goodie Bag!

If you dropped by yesterday you would have seen the goodie bag from my Spring Mini Catalogue Launch Party.  This is what was inside each bag! 

A free Spring Mini Catalogue, voucher, gift card, magnet with my details on it and a covered chocolate! 

We had such a fun night!  Everyone created 3 make and takes (stay tuned for those!), had the chance to win one of 3 lucky door prizes and could get free gifts for placing an order. 

The lucky door prizes were decided by a Spring Mini Catalogue Quiz - it was lots of fun and fairly easy as luckily, it was open book!  Everyone got a raffle ticket for every correct answer then we drew out the winning tickets.  Lucky door prizes included a free stamp set, a classic ink pad and reinker and a packet of ribbon originals.  I think the ladies who won were very happy with their prizes!

My Spring Mini Catalogue Launch

If you attended my Spring Mini Catalogue launch party last Friday then you would have received one of these goodie bags!  I am very happy with how they turned out and hopefully they will be easy for my guests to reuse as either a birthday gift bag or a Christmas gift bag.

I used the So Swirly jumbo wheel to roll the swirly design across each bag front and back, then stamped the small flower from the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set onto the swirls in real red classic ink.  The tag is made using the 'enjoy' greeting from the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set too.  Some red and green ribbon finish the decoration off nicely!

Isn't this cute?  This is the lollipop (chuppa chup type) that Jayne decorate for us on our team weekend away. 

She has used the Jersey Shore designer series double sided paper, blue bayou double stitched ribbon, think happy thoughts stamp set and scallop circle punch as well as about 3 circle punches!

My card in a box!

Here are the 18 cards in a box that I created last weekend on our team weekend away.

This is the card I created for eveyone on the team weekend away to create with all of the supplies I put into my box.

It uses the NEW Enjoy Every Moment stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalogue and is finished with a rhinestone brad in the middle of the flower. I hope they all liked it! I challenged myself to use Pink Passion, a colour I find very bright, so I have softened it by using Sahara sand as the base card. Let me know what you think?

My Weekend Away!

Last weekend I went away for a fabulous weekend of stamping and fun with some other INKling team members. The INKlings are Jayne Mercer's group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators. Jayne is my direct upline in Stampin' Up! and also my very good friend! Hi Jayne!

These are the goodies that we arrived to: Bound booklet with all details of the weekend, a lovely paddle pop card and nametag. We also recieved a lovely cupcake decorated with a punched out flower and rhinestone brad - just for fun!

Jayne went to an incredible amount of effort to make this inaugural team weekend away a memorable one. We had quizzes every day in our designated teams, as well as sketch and colour challenges to keep us busy.

Not to mention the cards in boxes! The 'card in a box' was an optional activity you could sign up to. Everyone designs one card and places in their box all the supplies to make that card for all the other participants. I ended up with 18 lovely cards... I will publish some of them in future posts - stay tuned!

Here are the other goodies Jayne gave us all over the course of the weekend, including decorated chuppa chup, magnets and mint chocolate (sorry - I ate the chocolate - but you can still see the lovely decoration!)

Cards with NO Stamping!

More cards created with no stamping!  Here are all the cards I created in one night using only die cut blooms, rub ons, metal hodgepodge and ribbon - AND that was only during the ad breaks of my favourite TV show!

You get 4 sheets of die cut blooms in the package for only $16.50.  One sheet in each of old olive, real red, pumpkin pie and bashful blue.  I have used less than a quarter of the blooms to make these cards - so you could make well over 40 cards using these die cuts!

Die Cuts and Rub Ons! No stamping involved!

Here are some more cards I created (for special friends of mine) using only Stampin' Up! die cut blooms, rub ons, ribbon, hodgepodge (the new silver variety!) and card.  There was no stamping involved!

I had such a great time creating these.  It was soooooo quick and easy!
