Crazy for Christmas Card Class

   

Time for a Christmas card!

This card uses a technique called 'spotlighting' that you can learn if you attend my class.  You will also receive a technique card, with a sample of the technique and details of how to do it, so you can remember what to do next time you make a card.

I just can't thank you enough!

 

I just can't thank you enough for bearing with me and my lack of posts during November!

It has been a busy time in our household.  My parents came to visit from NZ and I have also been involved in the organisation and publicity for our local school's Twilight Country Fair.  The fair and fireworks display were held last Saturday - so life is slowly getting back to normal!  It was a huge success and that has made all the hard work by everyone involved worthwhile. 

So, hopefully now, I can get back to some card making and maybe even some scrapbooking!

It is an exciting time in the Stampin' Up! world!  The Spring Mini Catalogue is finishing in a few days (30 November) and the Summer Mini Catalogue begins on 1 December.

Merry Merry Christmas!

 

It is that time of year again! Christmas is looming  - only 6 weeks away!  You still have time to start your Christmas cards, and if you need some assistance why not book a card making session at your home with me.  I provide all the materials and the designs for the cards.  You just need to stamp and assemble them, after I have shown you how, of course!  I require a minimum group of 4 people, each person pays only $20 to make 10 cards.

Mini Desk Calendars

 

I have been designing small gifts that I can give away at Christmas and other times to school teachers, hostesses and anyone really!  This week I recieved some mini calendars and this is what I came up with.

A small folder that can hold your mini calendar so you can carry it around with you - or if you would like to display it on your desk then you can turn it into this:

You simply tie the two pieces of ribbon together so your calendar stays open and sits nicely on your desk.

Here is the front view:

 

I have used Spring Silhouettes Designer Series papers and the coordinating colours of blue bayou and soft sky.  The greeting 'for you' is from the 'basic phrases' stamp set and the ribbon is blue bayou double stitched.

I also used my jumbo 'classic stars' wheel to create a pattern behind the calendar and used my small star punch, large and small oval punches, 1/4 inch circle punch and corner rounder punch to decorate the front.  Can you tell I like punches?!!  They are so versatile when it comes to decorating projects in the colours you require.
