Merry and Type Oval Window Card

Here is a Christmas card I made for a recent swap with my team.  I made a few different versions.  Here is the same card with Very vanilla as the base instead of whisper white.  You can also see the oval window more clearly on this one:

On this one I have also replaced the cherry cobbler spotted scalloped ribbon for punched cardstock and glitter.  Here is a side view:

I created the window using the oval designer frame embossing folder, then punching out the center with the extra large oval punch (it fits perfectly!).  All of the stamps for this card are in the new stamp set, Merry and Type, except the Merry Christmas greeting which is from Teeny tiny sentiments.

Organic Grace Flower

 

This is a card I created as a swap for a team weekend away.  I took my ispiration from a card in the Idea Book and Catalogue on page 10.  I have basically just used the sketch of the card and have turned it 90 degrees to suit my design.

The lovely flower is from the new stamp set Organic Grace.  I stamped and cut each petal into the center of the flower, then curled each petal slightly to make it more 3 dimensional.

Stamps:  Organic grace, tiny tags

Accessories:  Chocolate chip scallop dotted ribbon, linen thread, small jewellery tag punch, big shot circles die, 1 3/4" circle punch, 1/2" circle punch, island indigo marker.

Button Buddies Snowman

 
Isn't this a cute snowman?  He is just one image in the great new set, button buddies.

This is the card some of my Creative Stampers team members got to make at our holiday get together.  We have lots of fun creating while all our children play together and have a ball too!

I couldn't resist using the new triple layer doily punch as the large snowflakes in the background.  It is one of my brand new products so I have been itching to find a use for it.  I think it may get used a lot in the run up to Christmas!

The oval border is new too - one of two designer frames you get as a set for the big shot, only $16.95 for them both!  This one fits the extra large oval punch perfectly.

Field Flowers - Oh so pretty!

 

When the new Stampin' Up! catalogue came out in September, this stamp set, Field Flowers, was top of my wishlist.  I am glad to say that I am not disappointed!  It is one of those sets that makes your cards look great with almost no effort at all! 

It is a two-step stamping set, so the Stamp-a-ma-jig is a must.  Just look at the lovely 3D flower effect it creates when you use two tones of ink - stunning!

Here are the details of what I used to create this card:

Card:  Crumb cake, naturals ivory

Ink:  Bashful blue, Island indigo, crumb cake, early esspresso, old olive

Stamps:  Field flowers, sincere salutations

Accessories:  Subtles paper stack (bashful blue sheet), extra-large oval punch, Designer frames textured impressions oval folder, big shot, stamping sponges, crumb cake seam binding ribbon.
