Fluffy Flower Card

 
Here is a card from one of my monthly classes.  We created 3D flower cards.  The flower on this card is created using the scallop circle punch from Stampin' Up! and a brad. So simple yet so effective.

A little bit of sponging finishes it off nicely.

This card also uses the top note die, large oval punch and the decorative label punch, which is in the current Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue that ends at on 31 July.  This is the last month to order from it.

Fox and Friends Card Set

Here is a set of cards I designed for a recent church group card making evening.  They enjoy getting together to create cards every few months and like quick and easy designs.  They loved these cards!

They all have the same basic design but with the colour variation and different stamps on each background they are all unique!  They use the Big Shot polka dot texture folder, circles and labels from Stampin' Up!

If you live in Sydney and would like to have a fun card making night with your friends (groups of between 4 and 12), where all you have to do it provide the table and chairs - why not send me an email!

My Convention Swap

Here is the swap card I made for Stampin' Up! Convention last weekend.  I made 30 of these to swap with other demonstrators.  I received some lovely cards in return, which I will be showing off at all my card making classes in June!

I used the Baby Wipe technique, which I will be teaching at my classes in June, although we will be making kids cards, not this card!

Thanks to the lovely Teneale Williams for her nice Twitter comment about my card.  This is the one she was meaning!

Details:

Stamps:  Asian Artistry (Level 2 hostess set in Autumn-winter mini catalogue)

Ink:  Staz on

Card:  Basic gray, basic black, old olive, whisper white, glossy white

Accessories:  Baby wipe, old olive, baha breeze and night of navy reinkers, post it note, 1 inch circle punch, crimper.

Cottage Garden Sponged Top Note Card

This card is one of the make and takes at my recent Mini Catalogue launch party.  I wanted to use a Big Shot die in a different way - so instead of using the actual cut out shape, I used the border left behind by the shape, in this case of the top note die.

By gently sponging baha breeze ink inside the top note die border I created a frame for my garden scene.  While the frame is still in place I stamped the flowers from the Cottage garden stamp set.  It was so much easier to line up the 2-step flower image using the clear mounted stamps that you can now choose from the Stampin' Up! Aututmn-Winter Mini Catalogue.  To find out more about the Clear Mounted Stamp option just click HERE.

A bit of glitter on the butterfly and the card was complete.

Accessories:  Big shot top note die, 5 petal flower punch, sponges, dazzling diamonds glitter.

Bird Punch Flower Card

As you may have guessed from the title, I used the Extra large Two-step bird punch, from the Stampin' Up! Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue, to create the flowers on this card and all of the other elements too!  What a versatile punch it is!

I used the 'wing' of the bird from the punch as a petal for the large flower and then again as a bud.  To get the base of the bud, you need to punch out one wing, then repositon your punch to the right slightly on your cardstock to punch out the shape you see above.  The branches are also punched out using the same punch!

Blue bird card

This is one of the make and takes from my Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue launch.  It uses the brand new Extra large Two-step Bird punch. 

This punch punches out the bird, wing and branch all with one punch!  By using strips of cardstock in your punch and using it upside down so you can see where it is punching on your card, you are able to get just a green branch and just a blue bird (or whatever colour you desire!)

There are lots of ways to use this punch too - not just as a bird on a branch.  Stay tuned for more ideas...

Cottage garden Baha Kiss!

 
Here is a card I created when I was playing around with the brand new Cottage Garden stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue.

This set coordinates with the Cottage Wall designer series papers and so is used most often in those colours (Rich Razzleberry, Orchid opulence and old olive).  I have used different colours for a whole different effect (Baha breeze, kiwi kiss, night of navy).

I was also experimenting and discovered that the flower can be punched out with the 5 petal flower punch!  I love that!  I am not a big fan of cutting out flowers!  I also used the Big Shot to cut out the fancy label and a bit of paper piercing to finish off the card.

Easter Wishes Scallop Circle Cards

 

Here is a card I made using my new favourite tool, The Big Shot from Stampin' Up!  Now available in the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue.  Just contact me if you would like to order one!

This card uses the scallop circle bigz die, but instead of cutting the whole scallop circle, I folded my card in half then positioned it on the die so a few of the scallops were omitted.  Once you run it through the Big Shot you then have a scallop circle card!  Here is a side view:

I created 3 cards using the 'Cottage Wall' designer series papers as my colour inspiration.  These are the loveliest papers and use one of the new 'in colours', Rich razzleberry (a gorgeous colour).

Elongated Pillow Box with the Big Shot!

These are one of the free giveaways that everyone attending my Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue Launch received.  They contained a sachet of hot chocolate for them to enjoy!  This was a fantastic idea shared by Jayne Mercer, at a recent training day she held for her team (thanks for the great idea Jayne)

These lovely long pillow boxes are created using the 'pillow box die' from Stampin' Up!  To create these you need to fold your card in half then position it carefully on the die so it will only be cut at one end.  When you open out the folded card, there are some perforations in the middle, but I have covered these with a pretty belly band so you can't see them.  You simple stick the boxes together and voila!

Manhattan Flower Swap Cards

 

I attended a training event run by my lovely friend and upline, Jayne Mercer, last weekend.  I decided to make a few swap cards... and this is all 23 of them!  I would have made more but I ran out of ribbon!

I have used the fantastic new textured impression folder called 'Manhattan flower' and the Big Shot from Stampin' Up! to make these cards.  Both these products will be available in the new Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue that begins on 1 April 2010.  Only a few days away now, there are so many exciting new products in the catalogue.

I have also used some lovely polka-dot ribbon from the new mini.  Here is a close up of the two cards I made using different coloured ribbon (a sneak peak at 2 new Stampin' Up! colours!):

I gathered the ribbon using a needle and thread to make the pretty frills behind the oval greeting.  I really enjoyed sitting down for a quiet hour or two in the sun making all of these. It did take quite a while, but hopefully the demonstrators I swapped with will think it was worth it!
