Butterfly Prints Card

This is a card I designed for the guests at my recent Sale-a-bration Party.  They all got to make this card as one of the three make and takes on the night.

The base is stamped with the small buttefly from the 'for everything' set, but is difficult to see in the picture.  The larger butterflies are from the lovely 'Butterfly Prints' stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalogue, and of course one is punched out with the matching butterfly punch.  The pearl is from the 'pretties kit' and is threaded onto chocolate chip taffeta ribbon.  The greeting is from the 'chit chat' rubs on, also in the Summer Mini Catalogue.

Cameo sweet treat flower card

Here is a card that was inspired by the card on page 9 of the Stampin Up! Summer Mini Catalogue.  I used Cameo coral (one of my least favourite colours) because it matched the mini m and m colour perfectly.  I am really pleased with the outcome and it maybe it will induce me to use more Cameo coral in the future (but I doubt it!)

Of course I used a sweet treat cup and my wonderful new circle scissors plus to complete this card.  I love being able to cut out large circles with ease.

Fun Kids Card with Sweet Treat Cup

Another card using the 'Sweet treat cups'!  This one is filled with mini M and Ms and would be great for any childs birthday.

I inked up the lolly dispenser using my Stampin' Up! markers to achieve the multi-coloured stamped image.  The stamps are all from the "Something Sweet" stamp set available in the Summer Mini Catalogue until the end of March.  A very versatile stamp set to suit most occasions.

Simple Sweet Treat Cup Card

When searching for things to put into my Sweet Treat Cups cards I found some jaffas, so of course I had to use them, and eat the rest!!

Here is my creation - a simple yet effective card suitable for anyone who likes jaffas (who doesn't like jaffas?)

Ink:  Real red, basic black

Card: whisper white, real red, basic black

Refillable Sweet Treat Cup Card!

 
I have been wanting to use these cute Sweet Treat Cups ever since they arrived, but have only just got the chance.  

Here is a cute card that can actually be opened to get to the mini marshmellows contained in the cup.  Here is the back view with the slider door open:

Making a sliding door like this means the reciever of the card doesn't have to destroy the card to get the treats! 

The sweet treat cups are available in the Summer Mini Catalogue and only cost $6.50 for 12!  I think they are perfect for all sorts of cards and party treats and favors.  To order some just contact me:

Adding Colour Back to Bleached Images

Now you can colour in with bleach (see previous posts) you may want to try this:  Adding colour back to your bleached out image using Stampin' Pastels (otherwise known as chalks!)

Simply stamp your image with Staz on black ink, colour it with bleach, then apply your stampin' pastels diectly over the image.  The stampin' pastels do not react with the bleach - how cool is that!  You can add colour to your image where ever you require it.

Here is the card I created using this technique:

I coloured the flower with bleach and applied the stampin' pastels to certain areas of the flower to add highlights and depth to the flower.  I also added colour to the stem of the flower.

Card:  pale plum, perfect plum, certainly celery

Accessories:  Stampin' pastels, white taffeta ribbon, mini glue dots
 

Colouring In with Bleach

The next technique that I shared at the Sydney Regional Training for Stampin' Up! demonstrators was colouring in with bleach.

Points to remember:

1.  Use nylon bristles.   Stampin' Up! Aquapainters are perfect for this task.

2.  Use fresh bleach.

3.  Always stamp your image with Staz On ink.  Other types of ink will be bleached out.  Staz on will not.

I stamped the same image (This swirl image is another SNEAK PEAK from the upcoming Summer Mini Catalogue, begins 1 December.  My launch is on Saturday 25th November, 7.30pm, contact me if you would like to attend) with Staz on black ink and Red riding hood classic ink and coloured both images using bleach.  These were the results:

 

You can see the red ink has been destroyed by the bleach but the staz on ink has not. 

You can either put fresh bleach into your aquapainter or simple 'pick up' the bleach from your bleach stamp pad (see yesterdays post for how to make one of these), then simply colour in.  It takes a few seconds for the bleach to react with the card, so you have to be patient.

Here is the card I created using the lovely swirl image above and my trusty stamp-a-ma-jig!  I coloured each swirl using bleach.
